Our First Yes: The Beginning of Parazure

Exciting news!

We just signed a contract with a client — our very first client as Parazure — and even as I write this, I still feel the weight and wonder of that moment because it wasn’t just about securing work, it was about seeing something fragile and hopeful turn into something real.

The client came from my extended network on LinkedIn, but the connection itself wasn’t random or new; we had been loosely acquainted through one of the agencies I previously worked with, and over the span of about a year, we had exchanged occasional professional emails — nothing extraordinary, nothing strategic — just respectful communication between two people who had once worked within the same orbit of business.

And then life shifted.

The brokerage I was working with made the difficult decision to downsize, and my role was among those affected. Thankfully, they handled it with professionalism and integrity, compensating me with a full month’s pay as part of the transition, which I deeply appreciated because it gave me breathing room — but even with that cushion, the uncertainty was real.

Because in today’s world, surviving on a single source of income is no longer sustainable, and I knew that relying on one client, one contract, one stream, was a vulnerability I could not afford to ignore.

So I found myself in a strange in-between season — not fully unemployed, but not secure either — and those are often the hardest spaces to navigate because externally you look stable, but internally you are calculating, planning, and quietly worrying about what comes next.

Those nights were long.

I prayed — not polished, eloquent prayers, but honest ones — the kind spoken when the house is quiet and your thoughts are louder than you want them to be. I stayed up late refining my résumé, tailoring applications across different niches, from marketing to operations to appointment setting, stretching my experience to align with opportunities I hoped would open doors. I woke up early before everyone else, sending applications while the world was still dark, determined not to waste a single hour of possibility.

There were moments of doubt, of course — moments where silence from inboxes felt heavier than rejection — but I kept going because stopping was not an option.

And then one day, in what felt like a simple and almost ordinary decision, I sent him a connection request on LinkedIn.

There was no elaborate pitch attached, no dramatic explanation of my situation, just a quiet extension of connection rooted in professionalism and history.

He saw my profile.

And instead of scrolling past, he messaged me directly and asked, “Are you still available for hiring?”

I remember staring at that message for a moment, feeling both relief and responsibility at the same time, because this wasn’t just about me anymore.

So I responded honestly and confidently: yes, I was available — and I was part of a team.

By then, Parazure wasn’t just an idea in my mind; it was a small but committed marketing team of three people who believed in building something sustainable, structured, and value-driven together.

He scheduled an interview, and when we showed up, we didn’t show up desperate — we showed up prepared, aligned, and clear about what we could deliver as a team rather than as isolated freelancers competing for survival.

And right there, after that conversation, he hired us.

Not just me.

The team.

All three of us.

That moment felt bigger than income and greater than relief because it symbolized confirmation — confirmation that relationships built over time matter, that reputations travel even when you are unaware of it, and that integrity leaves an imprint long after contracts end.

If I had not shown up consistently in the past, he would not have trusted me in the present. If I had not maintained professionalism in simple email exchanges over the course of a year, I would not have been remembered when opportunity resurfaced. If I had not continued refining my skills during uncertain seasons, I would not have been ready when the door quietly opened.

Parazure’s first client did not come from aggressive selling or cold outreach campaigns.

It came from connection.

It came from credibility.

It came from resilience strengthened by prayer and persistence.

And it came from one LinkedIn connection request sent on an ordinary day during an extraordinary season of uncertainty.

Today, we celebrate that first yes — not because it is the final destination, but because it marks the beginning of something that was built on faith, preparation, integrity, and the courage to move forward even when the path wasn’t fully clear.

Every company has a starting point.

Ours began in the quiet space between uncertainty and belief.

And this is only the first chapter.
